Helena Smart – Junior Competition adjudicator

Head of Strings at the prestigious St Paul’s Girls School, London, Helena enjoys an extensive performing career as a soloist as well as orchestral violinist, including performing concerti with the Hallé, RNCM Sinfonia, Chethams Symphony, Todmorden, Bishop Auckland and Teeside Symphony Orchestras; and performed solo recitals and in chamber ensembles across the country. 

Helena was a member of the WDR Sinfonieorchester, Köln from 2004-2006, and since returning has been a regular player with the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
