Fiona Robertson – String Course Co-Leader

A professional violinist with over 30 years of performing experience, Fiona is renowned nationwide as an inspirational and passionate music leader. As one of the UK’s most respected course leaders, she ran the ESTA International Summer Camp for Junior Orchestra and Ensemble in Ely, Cambridgeshire, in 2024 and coaches small ensembles annually at the Grittleton Chamber Music Course, helping young players discover chamber repertoire.

Alongside her successful private practice (teaching Violin, Viola, and Piano), Fiona is greatly in demand as a teacher of Violin and Viola at Beechwood Park School and Haberdashers’ School for Girls.

An alumna of the Royal Northern College of Music, she has been a key member of the Royal Ballet Sinfonia (Second Violin section) since 2001, regularly performing the great ballet repertoire in major venues across the UK and internationally. Her extensive orchestral work includes engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Hallé, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
