A graduate of the Royal College of Music in violin and piano, West End Musical Director Julian Winn has led productions across the UK including Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Starlight Express, Cats, and the current West End smash hit, Mama Mia, as well as the UK National Tour of Doctor Dolittle.

In great demand as a composer, his music regularly features on BBC and ITV as well as for live concerts. His composition for full orchestra, Perpetuum Mobile, featured in the National Children’s Orchestra concert series in 2018 and Julian was invited to conduct and workshop it with the renowned violinist, Nicola Benedetti as part of the Benedetti Sessions at the Royal Welsh College of Music. 

Julian now combines his roles as a teacher and an educational composer, collaborating with Sing Up, the UK’s national singing educational organisation, and the award-winning music education platform, Out of the Ark
